Feb 10, 2020Our culture is improving. We are moving proactively towards inclusion and unconditional love. However, we still have some shedding to do.
Competition. Defensiveness. Withdrawal. Silent Treatment. These are outdated strategies. And yet, they are all too tempting to use when we are back against the wall and feeling justified.
But one thing I know from personal experience is that even if using these tactics diffuses the pain or discomfort of the moment, it doesn’t create a solution that works for all, and it hardly ever feels good. And it’s good to feel good!
So, what does feel good?
1. Owning your side of the street. Even if something doesn’t end up working out as we’ve hoped, we seem to accept the outcome more readily if we can say: “I did my best”. Worry about what you can control only. And have grace for yourself in the process.
2. Celebrating another’s wins. Yes, there are a lot of amazing ideas out there and at moments it feels like yours is getting used or someone else is relishing in your spotlight. Rest assured, your big idea/gift is coming. The details are being worked out at this very moment. If you’ve dreamed it, it’s on it’s way to you. Trust. And lift up others as you wait.
3. Stay in the game. The resilience you are building while you grow is the very essence of what is going to help you soar. Trust the lesson. Learn it on this go around. As you repeat the process of getting back up, you show the universe you are worthy of more. Be inspired by self-transformation.
4. Speak up, share your: EVERYTHING! We feel one another and when you back out we miss you. Your voice and contribution matters more than you know. Being YOU is your superpower. Literally, no one else can do it. We need your presence NOW.
